At 10:52 local time (14:52 GMT)19 th January 2008, boat number 13 'Pura Vida' became the first boat to cross the finish line in the Atlantic Rowing Race 2007 with a crossing time of 48 days, 2 hours and 52 minutes.
Making full use of their MarineTrack system, Carl, Robbie, Tom and John were escorted safely into English Harbour, Antigua, surrounded by a flotilla of boats, lead by ABSAR (Antigua and Barbuda Search and Rescue) complete with a fog horn chorus, before being met by a cheering crowed on the dockside.
Tears and laughter followed as the crew who were met by friends and family as well as Officials from Immigration and the Ministry of Tourism, and many more well wishers.
Although slimmer than when they left, the guys looked fantastic. The only give away signs that they had rowed the Atlantic were the bearded faces and wobbly legs!
The second boat to cross the finish line was Gquma Challenger at 00:15 GMT on the 22nd January 2008 giving them a time of 50 days, 12 hours and 15 minutes with No Fear following some 6 hours later.
